Up to now, North Rhine-Westphalia has more than 1,600 enterprises in China, accounting for nearly one-third of the total number of German enterprises in China, and more than 1,200 China enterprises have invested in North Rhine-Westphalia.

North Rhine-Westphalia is the most populous and densely populated federal state in Germany, with pillar industries such as machinery manufacturing, automobiles and parts, chemicals, energy and so on, which is highly compatible with Shandong industries. "Next year, we plan to organize Shandong enterprises to enter Germany, hold industrial cooperation and exchange activities, promote the deep integration of industries of both sides, and jointly escort Chinese and German enterprises in both directions."
