Autonavi Maps Wheelchair Navigation Upgraded to Break Barriers with Digital Power

Recently, the Autonavi map wheelchair navigation function has been upgraded, supporting the inquiry of subway in-app barrier-free bathroom information and subway in-app emergency call for help; in the walking navigation mode, it is possible to inquire about barrier-free bathroom information along the way. At present, nearly 2,200 barrier-free public toilets have been launched.

Users only need to turn on "Accessible Navigation" in the settings options on the Autonavi Map APP (My-Settings-Accessible Navigation-Open), and they can try to avoid steps, steep slopes and other road sections during the navigation process. At present, this function has covered 14 cities including Shanghai, Beijing and Hangzhou.

It is understood that this upgrade has also updated the information of barrier-free elevators such as overpasses. In the case of barrier-free navigation, it can be combined with barrier-free elevators, lifts, and other barrier-free facilities to plan the preferred route for users. Priority is given to planning subway routes during public travel, and users are guided to the entrance with a straight ladder.

In addition, users can freely feedback the information of barrier-free facilities around them, and together help to improve the barrier-free environment of society. In addition to the disabled, the elderly with limited mobility, parents pushing strollers, people who travel in temporary wheelchairs due to accidental injuries and people who travel with heavy objects can refer to the use of "barrier-free navigation" in different scenarios.
