  BMW’s M division will unveil a number of new cars at the upcoming Chengdu Auto Show, including the new BMW M5, BMW X1 M35Li, new M3, new M2, new M240i and new i4 M50, showcasing BMW’s forward-looking layout in the field of fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles in an all-round way. Among them, the BMW M5 will be launched in China and pre-sold at the Chengdu Auto Show.

  The exterior of the new generation BMW M5 has been performance-upgraded on the basis of the basic BMW 5 Series, with a luminous grille design and an aerodynamic package surrounded by the lower part. The rearview mirror shell, roof and rear spoiler are made of carbon fiber, and are equipped with front 285/40 R20 and rear 295/35 R21 tires.

  The new car still features a dual-screen design, with crystal-textured gearshift levers, wraparound custom ambient light strips, and a newly designed M-series sports multi-function steering wheel. The luxury features of this car include front M multi-function seats, seat heating, Bauer Weijian sound system, full-color head-up display system, etc., with Alcantara roof lining, M carbon fiber exterior package, seat ventilation and other functions available.

  The M5 is equipped with an M hybrid drive system composed of a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine and a high-performance motor, with a maximum output power of 535kW/727 horsepower, a peak torque of up to 1000N · m, and a 100-kilometer acceleration of only 3.5 seconds. If the M Driver package is optional, the top speed can reach 306km/h; the motor power is 197 horsepower, the battery pack size is 14.8kWh, and the pure electric cruising range can reach 40km.

  The BMW X1 M35Li is the first domestic M-performance model of the BMW X1 series, debuting at the 2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Motor Show. The new car features a large number of M-exclusive designs, equipped with the 9th generation (BMW) operating system, equipped with an integrated hovering surface screen, as well as L2 + level autonomous driving auxiliary features and M-exclusive instrument and head-up display functions. The BMW X1 M35Li is equipped with the M TwinPower 2.0T inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine tuned by BMW M, and introduces dual injection technology to achieve a maximum power of 246kW.

  The new BMW M3 is a mid-term model. The internal structure of the headlight group has been upgraded, and a new flat-bottomed steering wheel has been replaced. It has a red correcting label design. The power is equipped with a 3.0T inline 6-cylinder engine. The M3 standard version has a maximum power of 480 horsepower and a maximum torque of 550N · m, using rear-wheel drive. The M3 Thunder version has a maximum power of 510 horsepower and a peak torque of 650N · m, using rear-wheel drive. Compared with the current model, the power of the M3 Thunder four-wheel drive version can be increased by 20 horsepower to 530 horsepower.

  The new M2 is also a mid-term model, with a blackened M2 badge and new silver wheels. The interior is equipped with the latest BMW iDrive 8.5 infotainment system, upgraded with a new flat-bottomed steering wheel and red sports seats, and supports carbon fiber barrel seats. The power is equipped with a 3.0T inline 6-cylinder engine, which increases the maximum power by 20 horsepower compared with the current model.

  The mid-term revamped new M240i (as well as the 2 Series Coupe) will also be officially launched at the Chengdu Auto Show. As a small revamped model, the new car mainly adds 19-inch wheels in three body colors and new styles, and is equipped with a new steering wheel. It supports optional crystal texture interior components, providing consumers with a variety of choices.

  The mid-term replacement i4 M50 has been adjusted for the structure of the lamp group in terms of details, and the style is more simple and modern. As a pure electric model, the i4 performs well in terms of battery life.
