Highlight the integration of culture and scenery! Creating a corridor with regional cultural characteristics in Dafeng section of Chuanchang River
Chuanchang River is the mother river of Dafeng, and it is an important spatial carrier carrying Dafeng’s ecology and culture. Dafeng housing and construction system, with the guiding ideology of revealing the inside information and integrating the culture and scenery, combines the characteristics of xingfeng’s "Flower Sea", Liu Zhuang’s "Zen Cultivation Student", Baiju’s "Shuihu Culture" and Caoyan’s "Yanyun Ancient Town", and strives to build a characteristic benchmark of cultural revival in Jiangsu Province, the core area of Chuanchang River Basin in Yancheng and the characteristic corridor of Dafeng District according to local conditions. "Chinese culture with a long history has nurtured a water culture with rich ideological content from the beginning, and different water cultures can inject fresh breath into the landscape. When creating a water landscape, paying attention to integrating into local traditional characteristics will have a very tenacious vitality. " Guan Honggui, deputy director of Dafeng Housing and Construction Bureau, said when talking about the overall development of Dafeng section of Chuanchang River.

Tree planting scene in green area of Xinfeng section of Chuanchang River
Xinfeng is a bright pearl on the north side of Dafeng District with profound historical background. Holland Flower Sea, a national 4A-level scenic spot, was awarded the title of "the first tulip flower sea in China", "Sino-Dutch tulip research base" and "the best tulip scenic spot in the world". The Xinfeng section of Chuanchang River takes the natural pastoral as the overall theme, features the "flower sea", and creates an idyllic green corridor with diverse displays of natural scenery, rural features and industrial relics through local grass flowers. At the greening site at the junction of the old 204 National Road and the Xinlong Line, I saw thirty or forty greening workers working against the cold wind, digging holes, lifting trees and cultivating soil, and doing their best. One by one, the three or four-meter-high Binshu stands upright in the wind. Shen Hui, the mayor of the town, told the reporter that the Xinfeng section of Chuanchang River is 6.4 kilometers long, including 3.1 kilometers in Datuan Village and 3.3 kilometers in Xiaotuan Village. In the past few days, the town has taken the "river length system" as the starting point, combined with the special action to improve the environmental appearance of the town, and made every effort to win the tough battle of comprehensive improvement of Chuanchang River. There are 56 comprehensive improvement projects in Chuanchang River, of which 56 have been signed and 48 have been demolished. Environmental improvement was carried out in front of and behind 78 farmers’ houses, removing floating objects and weeds on the river banks, dragging straws, removing domestic garbage, cleaning up banners and wild advertisements, etc., and the cumulative number of workers reached 1200, and the environmental outlook was significantly improved. At present, the town is upgrading the greening along the Chuanchang River, optimizing the allocation according to local conditions, planting trees on blank plots, and effectively improving the greening pattern along the line.

Shi Naian Memorial Hall on the banks of Chuanchang River attracts tourists from all directions.

Rendering of Yongning Bridge in Caoyan Section of Chuanchang River (Guyan Canal)
Liu Zhuang is a thousand-year-old town with outstanding people and outstanding spirit, and it has been a traffic artery since ancient times. Going south along National Highway 204 and entering the northern end of Liu Zhuang Town, the first thing you see is weizi between National Highway 204 and Chuanchang River. Weizi is a common name for a former Buddhist site in Liu Zhuang town. Its solemn Dojo and influence can be confirmed by relevant records, photos and memories of some old people. As a scenic spot, curved bridges and pavilions have been built here, making it a park for leisure and entertainment. Going south along weizi, you can see Liu Zhuang Pure Land Academy at the south end of Zilin Road, which has become a national famous Nepali Pure Land Dojo with strong incense and a well-known reputation. It is a national 2A-level tourist attraction. The Liu Zhuang section of Chuanchang River connects the Pure Land Courtyard, weizi and the waterfront space of Chuanchang River in series, demolishes the industrial workshop in the south of the town, takes meditation and rehabilitation as the theme, and features ginkgo biloba as the overall greening to create a multi-functional corridor integrating religious culture, meditation and rehabilitation.

Cohesive Bridge of Shi Naian Memorial Hall in Baiju Section of Chuanchang River
Baiju is the place where the Eighth Route Army and the New Fourth Army successfully joined forces, and the monument at the lion’s mouth stands tall. Baiju is also the hometown of Shi Naian, the author of Water Margin. Standing on Juyi Bridge in Shi Naian Memorial Hall, I saw that it is surrounded by water and lush reeds, which is quite artistic in Liangshan, Shui Bo. Zong Shengyong, the deputy mayor of the town, told the reporter that the Baiju section of Chuanchang River is characterized by red culture and water margin culture, creating a colorful waterfront that blends ancient and modern times. The overall theme is history and humanities. By renovating the revetment along the river, efforts are made to form a leisure garden and three landscape nodes along the east bank of Chuanchang River, namely the red cultural node in the north, the water margin cultural node in the middle and the tourism service area in the south.

A glimpse of the old street in Caoyan section of Chuanchang River
Caoyan has a profound cultural background and numerous tourism resources. Standing on the old street of the town, I saw blue bricks and tiles and pavilions on both sides, which were antique. Walking through Su Yu Headquarters (cultural relics protection unit in Dafeng District), overlooking the century-old Longmen Bridge on the south side, it seems to be in ancient times. Caoyan Town is characterized by the cultural background of Ming and Qing Dynasties and the texture of polder fields in water towns. It focuses on planting hydrophilic polder fields, local experience, pan-museum, slow food and leisure, and creates a cultural ancient town integrating ecological leisure, historical exposition and comprehensive services. Ji Xianghua, deputy director of Dafeng Water Conservancy Bureau, who is busy at the water conservancy construction site in the town, told the reporter that the water conservancy department of Dafeng District is mainly responsible for the flood control and drainage project of Chuanchang River. It plans to dredge 41.57 kilometers of rivers, reinforce 8 kilometers of dikes and build 30 supporting buildings. At present, the project has been fully started, with 120,000 cubic meters of earthwork completed, which is expected to be completed before the flood season this year.
The reporter learned that over the past year or so, in accordance with the decision-making arrangements of the municipal party Committee and municipal government, the Municipal Housing and Construction Bureau has actively played the role of a special class for the "Three Rivers" rectification work, adhered to the promotion of project objectives, target nodes and node responsibilities, and continued to carry out supervision and guidance. The responsible subjects have divided their work and strengthened their organization and implementation. The ecological effects of "clear water, smooth rivers, green shores, beautiful scenery and prosperity" have become increasingly apparent, and they have gradually appeared in all seasons along the river.
