　　The 2nd China Youth Football League (Yunnan Division) in 2023 and the 3rd Yunnan Youth Football League in 2023 were hosted by Yunnan Sports Bureau and Yunnan Education Department, and undertaken by Yunnan Football Association. Since the start of the competition in July 2023, the competition has achieved full coverage in 16 cities in the province, with more than 2,900 preliminaries, and the number of participating athletes has reached more than 11,000, spanning all ages from 7 to 18. The championship teams of U8, U10 and U12 in three age groups gathered in Chuxiong, and after 138 fierce competitions, they decided to win the provincial championship in each group.

　　In order to accelerate the high-quality development of football in Yunnan, since 2021, Yunnan Football Association has established a five-in-one youth training system of "training, training, competition, selection and delivery", thus creating a platform for Yunnan Youth Football League. In 2023, under the joint promotion of the Provincial Sports Bureau and the Provincial Education Department, the Yunnan Youth Football League was compared with the China Youth Football League organized by the State Sports General Administration, the Ministry of Education and the Chinese Football Association, and the competition standards were continuously optimized and the competition system was improved. Since its inception, the league has been attended by more than 2,000 athletes from three groups and four cities, and gradually turned into a league for all school-age teenagers in the province, with ten thousand people participating in different stages, multi-gradients and multi-levels.

　　At the awarding ceremony held on the evening of 16th, leaders from Yunnan Sports Bureau, Chuxiong People’s Government, Yunnan Football Association and other units presented awards to the winning clubs, teams and players. Among them, Kunming Wucheng Guofu Primary School, Xishuangbanna Yunjinghong Primary School and Kunming Fengrui Football Club won the championships in U8, U10 and U12 groups respectively. The affiliated school of The National SouthWest Associated University Research Institute won the first prize in U15 category; U17 men’s and women’s champions were respectively won by Yunnan Changshui Experimental Middle School and No.1 Middle School in Qilin District of Qujing City.
