Reproductive medicine experts suggest that the chances of pregnancy will greatly increase after losing weight. However, losing weight will not happen overnight. Some people think of liposuction to lose weight in order to lose weight quickly. Reproductive experts remind that although obesity will affect the chances of pregnancy, liposuction can’t change endocrine in a short time, and weight loss should be based on reasonable diet and strengthening exercise, so as to adjust endocrine and hormone levels and improve the chances of pregnancy.
Ask for liposuction to lose weight over forty.
Ms. Liu, 41, has a daughter. This year, Ms. Liu wants to have two children. However, at a height of 1.6 meters, she weighs as high as 75 kilograms, and her BM (body mass index) is 29.2, which is obese. Six years ago, Ms. Liu’s menstruation was abnormal. After consulting a reproductive doctor, the doctor advised her to lose weight first, regulate endocrine and make ovulation normal. It is best to reduce her normal weight to 61 kg, that is to say, she needs to lose 14 kg!
Wang Baoping, chief physician of the Reproductive Medicine Center of the Second People’s Hospital of Guangdong Province, explained, "Obesity will lead to the continuous increase of estrogen level, which will inhibit the secretion of follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, and lose the normal periodicity, thus affecting the generation and ovulation of follicles, resulting in irregular menstruation, infertility and amenorrhea. Therefore, obese women are not easy to conceive. "
Ms. Liu has been exercising for a month, but her weight has not changed at all, especially the thick fat in her abdomen. At the suggestion of a friend, Ms. Liu, who is eager to have a baby, went to the beauty salon to reduce abdominal fat by liposuction. The beauty salon said that she could lose weight as soon as she liposuction. However, Ms. Liu was skeptical about this and went back to the reproductive department of the hospital for consultation.
Liposuction is not suitable for pregnant women.
In view of the pregnant women who want to lose weight through liposuction, Wang Baoping reminded that liposuction as a body shaping method has certain risks: (1) numbness. There are peripheral blood vessels and nerves in fat. After liposuction, because the peripheral nerves are destroyed, the human body will be numb, which usually takes about half a year to recover; (2) nerve injury. The size of negative pressure determines the speed of liposuction. The greater the negative pressure, the faster the liposuction, but the greater the harm to the human body, which is likely to cause nerve damage to patients.
More importantly, liposuction is only a partial slimming. For weight, the number of fat cells in the body is not much reduced, so it will not play a big role in improving women’s endocrine, not to mention that pregnant women require healthier bodies rather than more injuries. Therefore, experts do not recommend liposuction for pregnant women to slim down.
It is very important to lose weight scientifically before pregnancy.
How can we lose weight by scientific exercise and diet control? Wang Baoping gave the following suggestions:
Keep exercising for more than 60 minutes every day.
At first, do some moderate and low-intensity aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking or jogging, which is conducive to persistence. After the athletic ability is enhanced, we should start to increase the amount of exercise and add some strength-based exercises, such as pulling elastic belt and lifting dumbbells. It is best to arrange strength training 2-3 times a week.
Eat less and eat more, more fruits and vegetables and less meat.
For obese people, light exercise is not enough. They must also go on a proper diet, eat less and eat more meals, reduce the amount of staple food, increase low-calorie and satiety foods such as fruits, vegetables and coarse grains, and replace high-calorie and high-fat big fish and meat with white meat (fish and chicken breast).
Wang Baoping emphasized that healthy weight loss is the most effective way to restore fertility. According to the rate of losing 0.5-1 kg per week, Ms. Liu needs at least half a year to lose weight.
